Relaxing break for the family! Clean and comfortable rooms. Perfect for kids who like the water!
Extremely clean facilities! Large and comfortable rooms. So impressed that there was no sand in the floors despite the hotel being so close to the beach. Friendly and welcoming staff Large pools, fun waterslides. Nice water play area for younger kids. Delicious drinks at the pool bars. Walking distances to supermarkets and pharmacies. We ate our meals at Baan Sailom next door to the resort and the Sandwich Box opposite the resort. Good breakfast spread, staff replaced food diligently
Crowded breakfast room. Many tourists were discourteous in the large amounts of food they took and not waiting their turns. Lunch and dinner not that great. We preferred to eat outside the resort. We realised upon arrival that if we booked different types of rooms, they would likely be on different floors even if within the same building. The resort is huge so this can be a problem for families with small children.

What was the highlight of Phuket Orchid Resort and Spa
Very happy with our stay!
This is a good resort for a family with young teens. The rooms and grounds are clean and attractive. The kids really enjoyed the pool, particularly the slides. The staff was very nice and responsive. The hotel is a five minute walk from Karon Beach, which is very clean by Thai standards. And it is a 20-min walk to Kata beach. Rooms: The adult beds and linens could have been a bit better, but they were okay. The kids beds were significantly worse, but the kids managed. Food: Breakfast was plentiful and varied, but could have been a bit higher quality. The fruit was good but not great, likewise for the yogurt. Either the oil or the potatoes used to make the grilled potatoes was reliably off. Every day they had either pancakes or French toast as well as cereal and a variety of eggs, omelettes, hard boiled, sunny side, and over medium. Often they had croissants and some muffin-like pastries. In addition, there was an Asian aisle of breakfast food, but we did not try any of that. The resort is mostly (95%) attended by Russians.
The buffet dinner is to be avoided at all costs. I'm not sure we've ever paid so much for such poor food. (Apparently the buffet dinner is included in the price of the hotel for some guests.) It would be nice to have access to drinking water (water fountain or such) throughout the day, so that we can refill our water bottles -we hate to buy single-use plastic water bottles (event the 3 gal ones) from the local 7Eleven store. There is water served/available at breakfast, but it's done by the end of the breakfast hours (6am-10am). The room smelled somewhat bad initially. We eventually concluded that the problem was the air conditioner. We complained to the front desk and they worked on the air conditioner the same day and fixed the problem. Otherwise the room was good.

Very aged Had an issue with a barman first day, he was incredibly rude and was raising his voice at me over an issue that didn’t even exist. Really put a dampener on the whole holiday.

Excellent pool and outdoor grounds - pool bar was a highlight. Seems like you are in a garden oasis.
